Koinonia's Garden Plot
Okra and Lima Beans in the Garden

Koinonia Grow has been hard at work for six months and we have lots to show for it! We’ve harvested over 1,300 pound of produce since we began in February 2021. This includes potatoes, broccoli, squash, zucchini, cabbage, kale, and more. Some of the harvest has been shared at Koinonia in our communal meals and kitchens. We have also been able to share our bounty with our neighbors through Harvest of Hope food pantry.

The blueberries are ready and being harvested every day. We hope to have our beloved blueberry fruit spread and granola ready to sell soon! We are also still planting more crops: green beans, lima beans, zipper peas, okra, and more! We are also starting to plant sweet potatoes and a few cover crops to help keep the soil healthy.

We continue to be grateful for the good work in the gardens and the opportunity to provide good, fresh food for our community and our neighbors. Stay tuned for more updates from Koinonia Grow – the grape harvest is coming soon!
