Koinonia Grow has been hard at work in the gardens! We have enjoyed help from our Come, Stay Awhile, & Serve participants as well as our interns. Many hands make light work! We enjoy working together to grow good, healthy food for our community and our neighbors.
The Grow Team is enjoying the lovely weather while cutting seed potatoes.
The Grow Team spent the morning helping Easter Morning deliver over 150 bags of fresh produce.
The Grow Team now has chickens helping with the garden work. These ladies are in a cover crop plot that we will plant in the spring.
One of the chickens decided to come help us weed.
Mary, a Come Stay Awhile and Serve participant, worked on harvesting and washing the lettuce.
Richard, a Come Stay Awhile and Serve participant, is learning how to get a plot ready for planting with a wheel hoe.
Potato planting has begun!
SamBelindaIntern Sam and CSASer Belinda learn how to use the wheel hoe to make furrows for potato planting.
The Grow Team planted 600 feet of potatoes!
