Koinonia turns 80 in 2022. A summer camp for youth has played an important role throughout our history and, for most of that history, it has been known as Camp Koinonia. In celebration of our 80th birthday, we are going to return calling the camp by its original name — Camp Koinonia.

Camp Koinonia invites youth ages 11 to 14 to join us for an exciting week exploring human rights, social justice, and peacemaking. Come join us!

While enjoying farm life with the Koinonia community, campers will learn about the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the rights we all have as human beings. We’ll focus on one right each day through discussions, games, meaningful service, and challenging questions. We’ll dialog with leaders of the Civil Rights Movement in Americus and with those working for social justice today who are passionate about what they are doing to build strong communities where everyone can thrive. At Koinonia, campers are immersed in the life of a community committed to peace, justice, and love since 1942.

New friendships, campfires, recreation, and relaxation on the farm will round out this unforgettable week. We can’t wait to see you! The overnight camp is limited to 20 campers.

Tuition for Camp Koinonia is a sliding scale of $50 to $750. We are able to offer this sliding scale because of generous donors who support camp. If your family can pay more than $750 to help make camp possible for others, we encourage you to consider an additional donation. If you need more information about the sliding scale tuition, please contact Quayneshia at quayneshia@koinoniafarm to discuss scholarships and payment options.

Here at Koinonia, we are doing our best to ensure the safety of the community and all who come to visit us. Below are some Covid protocols we will be taking to ensure Camp Koinonia is safe for everyone:
– All campers will be fully vaccinated
– Negative test results required 72 hours before camp
– Daily temperature checks
