Come, Stay Awhile, and Serve

Would you like to share your skills and talents with our community? Would you like to learn more about living in community? Come, Stay Awhile, and Serve offers an opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the life, work and service of Koinonia. You may choose to apply for a one-month, two-month or a three-month term. In exchange for work, those selected receive room and board and Koinonia waives all hospitality fees.

There is a variety of work to keep our community, house of hospitality, online business, farming, and all other aspects of Koinonia running smoothly. Koinonia also serves in many ministries off the farm as well. There is no shortage of projects. Participants are assigned a variety of work and service assignments based on their skills, interests, and abilities. Learn more about work assignments here.

Those selected arrive at the beginning of the term to participate in an orientation together. In addition to the work, participants are encouraged, but not required, to be a part of other aspects of our community life. There are shared meals, daily chapel services, a weekly Gathered Worship, discussion groups, and plenty of fellowship, which helps participants to immerse themselves and more fully experience life in community.
