Koinonia turns 80 in 2022. A summer camp for youth has played an important role throughout our history and, for most of that history, it has been known as Camp Koinonia. In celebration of our 80th birthday, we are going to return to calling the camp by its original name — Camp Koinonia.

While enjoying farm life with the Koinonia community, campers will learn about the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the rights we all have as human beings. As they focus on one right each day, campers learn how the right has been lived and is being lived out at Koinonia. Through discussions, games, meaningful service, and challenging questions, they come to understand the right better and witness it being lived. They will get to dialogue not only with members of Koinonia but with leaders of the Civil Rights Movement in Americus and with those working for social justice today who are passionate about what they are doing to build strong communities where everyone can thrive. At Koinonia, campers are immersed in the life of a community committed to peace, justice, and love since 1942.
New friendships, campfires, recreation, and relaxation on the farm will round out this unforgettable week. We can’t wait for summer!
The total amount for our full week of camp is $750.00. The price includes: lodging, activities, food and day trips. By supporting Camp Koinonia today, you are providing funds for day-to-day operations of camp as well as tuition assistance for campers who would not be able to attend otherwise.
