Donate In Support of Our New Pecan Orchard
Koinonia declared 2019 the Year of the Pecan, never knowing that a pandemic would surprise the world in 2020. Despite surreal times, donors came through, and all 500 pecan trees were sponsored! We planted the trees and then spent those socially distanced months watching them grow.
Now, we have launched a campaign to meet the need for enhanced irrigation and additional amendments. A donation of $60 per tree will cover the cost of getting the job done. Please donate today. Those 500 trees and all of Koinonia, thank you!
Donate to Help Maintain All the Pecan Orchards
Clarence Jordan oversaw the planting of Koinonia’s first pecan orchard in 1965. Most of our trees are almost 60 years old, and it is time to thin the older orchards. Over time, it will become necessary to plant new trees. Maintenance and care of existing orchards never stop. There is soil preparation, ongoing soil amendments, compost tea, picking up sticks, repairs to irrigation and water lines and pumps, and more.
Will you donate to help us continue to care for the orchards? Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated.
